Palm Springs 10/10

Alan's parents own a time share in Palm Springs, California and every year they invite a family to go down with them. This year, it was our turn and we had a LOT of fun!
We did a lot of swimming! Henry J wasn't a fan of this suit at first, but once he got in the water and playing he forgot all about it.

Lots of napping!

We went to the Living Desert one day. It's sort of a mini zoo, and they have all sorts of desert plants there.

J next to the .. *ahem*.. statue.

This is typical for Henry J and getting him to hold still.

Alan's little shadow.

They had a presentation in the Animal hospital and they did it on this Turtoise named "chewey". The reason he is named that is because a dog got a hold of him and chewed him up pretty bad. He is recovering and will soon join all his other buds soon.

I wanted Henry to get the chance to touch Chewey. He wasn't afraid at all, infact I had to pull him away for fear he was gonna rip the poor tortoise's leg off.

Look, it's a red tail hawk! The Utes mascot, so Alan needed a picture!

Towards the end of the day, we came across a carousel, and I probably should have known better than to put Henry on it, but I wanted to get some fun pictures. I really didn't think he'd try to claw my eyes out.

Alan the flesh eating, tough butterfly.

Jason, the in your fiz-ace hummingbird.

We did A LOT of driving while in California. Not only is it a 10+ hour drive there, but we also drove 2 hours to the beach one day. Henry did so much better than I thought he would. I have also noticed that while in his car seat he will cross his legs at the ankle. It's so stinkin cute.

I have begged and pleaded with Alan to please move us to the beach. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that place. It was such a beautiful day.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE this man.

Henry was NOT a fan of the beach when we first got there. He would literally hold his little feet up for as long as he could so they wouldn't touch the water.

Always goes runnin to his dad for comfort.

Slowly but surely, he was starting to like this idea of a huge sandbox.

Getting a little bit braver..

Finding out the hard way, that it's not easy to walk in sand.

We ended the beach party very shortly after these pictures were taken.

After the beach we headed down the road to Crystal Cove. There was a super yummy place to eat there called the "Beach Comber". They are trying to preserve the area down by the ocean so they have made little trails from a parking lot down to the beach. There was this part in the walk with a tunnel and it had all sorts of fun paintings on the wall.

Mmmmm.. frozen bananas..

Alan's parents, Carolyn and Roland.

Uncle J

Clearly Henry had enough with this day.

It was such a fun trip, and we were very lucky to be spending it with the people we love. Already looking forward for when we can go back!
