Love these people

A week ago my best friend from high school came up to SLC and it's not very often I can convince her to come up here! We had such a good time and it's always so much fun when we get together. I want her to know that I will always consider her my sister and that I think she is a fantastic mom. Her kids are my favorite little people and I love them to death.

Little Miss Princess

How can you not love that face?
Thanks for making me a part of your family Rickell and for all the memories.

Handy Alan

I wanted to dedicate a page to my "baby daddy" and let him know how grateful I for him. He is going to be such a great dad and every day he finds something to do for his wife and baby boy. He spent a good part of the day putting together the nursery, all while I was out with Rickell or sitting in the same room blogging away. For both of our sanity I don't help him with putting stuff together. If you know me at all then you know that I am lacking in the patience department, but it's something I am working on!
The finished product.

The crib is a little bare right now, but that is just until I can find some fabric so my amazing Grandma can make the bedding. We have an idea of what we want, it's just a matter of actually finding it. Which is pretty hard when you already have something invisioned.

When I got home from errands Alan had put the dresser up and had already folded and put away what clothes we have. I am amazed each day at everything he says and does for me. It doesn't get much better than this!

Henry J Roberts

Today has been long awaited, and we really couldn't ask for a better outcome. We went in for our 20 week ultrasound and doctor appointment, and luckily the ultrasound was scheduled first. While the tech was showing us the baby's organs, she casually asked us what we thought it was, or what we wanted. I instantly felt guilty for wanting anything other than a healthy baby, but I told her that we really felt like it was a boy. And she said... you are RIGHT. The left hand picture is the clear shot of our baby boy's jewels. Just to help you look at the picture right, it's as though you are changing his diaper. So his little boy parts are right in the middle and his legs are on each side. So there is no mistake about it.. we are going to have a BOY!!! We are both very excited about this and can't wait to welcome our son.
According to Henry's measurements, I am due the 4th of July, but they are keeping July 2nd as the official day. The only thing that is different about my pregnancy is that the umbilical cord only has 1 artery instead of 2. The baby is getting enough blood, and all my blood work has come back normal. They just want to schedule another ultrasound in 8 weeks to make sure he is growing enough, and I am ok with seeing my baby boy again! As far as I go (as if anyone really cares at this point.. lol) I am doing very well. I am right on track with my weight gain and I have been feeling him move every day now. No big kicks or punches, but Alan already has him practicing his dribbling and sprints. I made Alan take me to the store as soon as we found out we were having a boy so I could do some much anticipated shopping. Alan picked out all the clothes on the bottom. He is beyond excited and I love watching him.
