What do you get when you add one adorable Baby J to one crazy Mommy? A whole lotta pictures and bunch of laughs. I'm counting down the days till you are 1 year old Henry. I will always love you more today than I did yesterday.

We've been wanting to get a dog for a LONG time! We wanted to get one when we moved into the house, but then Henry decided to come early, and it just hasn't really worked out until now. So we thought it would be fun to get a dog for Henry's 1st birthday. We found a boxer lab mix on the internet for only 30 bucks, so we jumped on the deal and brought the little cutie home. So far he's been really good with Henry and doesn't bite too hard. Alan caught this cute little moment on the camera.. I love it.

We are planning on kennel training him, so until we get the kennel this oversized tub will have to do. I swear he likes it, he goes in all by himself.

Potty training is definitely NOT my thing, but he's been doing really well and I hope I can get it done by the time I have to go back to work next week.

11 Months

In one more month my baby will be a YEAR OLD. When I sit back and think about those long days at the hospital, I felt like the time would never come when he would be able to come home and be ours to take care of. And now he is more independent every day and it really is a bittersweet feeling to see your baby grow up. I love the little person he is growing up to be, and to see his sweet little personality coming out. But I long for the days when I could just hold him in my arms and stare at him while he slept. I am so in love with my baby, and I feel so blessed to have him with me today and healthy.

We have heard of a lot of babies going to the hospital lately with RSV, and that has been something that scares us with Henry J. We got lucky that he qualified for the Synergist shot and the insurance would cover it because it's like 3,100 dollars a shot. Henry just got the second shot the other day, and it's so comforting to know that we can take advantage of modern day medicine.


This is how I find Henry in the mornings. I put him on his belly half way down the bed, and he manages to get on his back in the corner of the crib.
