Henry and Eden

Our friend Marie had a little girl a couple days ago, so we decided to set her and Henry up on a little date. It was so cute to see them sitting on the couch together. It really makes Henry look like a big boy next to the brand new baby.

I think it's so funny to put babies together for pictures. They slowly start falling over into each other. Congrats Marie and Les, your daughter is beautiful!

Daily Dose of J

Not a lot of news to report right now, but that's usually a good thing! Little Henry J is getting bigger by the moment, much to my disappointment. He is learning how to suck his thumb and it's probably the cutest thing you have ever seen. I don't want it to become a habit, but it keeps him quiet sometimes, and that's never a bad thing. Henry has also has two little teeth on the bottom coming through. It seems a little early, but everything surprises me when it comes to this boy.

He is finally learning to like his swing. It's so nice to be able to put him in it while I do the dishes or something.

In his cute little bathrobe.

I put his shorts on his head and thought it looked cute. I'm weird.. I know.

Baby Einstein

I have heard a lot about the Baby Einstein products, and while babysitting Henry one night, my Aunt Julie played a video for him. She said Henry's eyes were glued to the tv and didn't make a peep. So I naturally wanted to go out and buy some the next day. I think that these are awesome videos and will help Henry learn at an early age.

His eyes would not leave the TV.

I could very well be the luckiest girl alive.

5 Months!

5 months ago today, Henry J was born. I know I say this about every month, but I can't believe how fast it has gone by. I don't know Henry's exact weight but I am guessing somewhere in the 11 and 1/2 lb range. So he's definitely growing like he should and doesn't have any serious problems. He's becoming more interactive with us and the other night he would not stop smiling and talking to me.

Can you spot the baby? Henry always has the cutest poses when he sleeps and it was so funny how he was just barely poking out of the blanket. He's a good sleeper and we are getting so close to sleeping through the night. Thankfully we didn't have any problems moving him from his bassinet in our room, to his big boy bed in his room.

Maternity Leave

My "summer vacation" is rapidly approaching the end, and it's hard to believe that 10 weeks have already gone by. I have really enjoyed being a stay at home mom and really tuning in to my maternal instincts. I wanted to do a blog and dedicate it to all the things I did.
I finally finished my summer blocks! Just in time for fall, but I always love a craft project and can't wait to start on the next one. Hopefully I will be able to stay on top of them so I don't have the wrong seasons up all year!

I made some oreos!

My first, and successful, attempt at making strawberry jam.

The ever famous Bagley Family Banana Slush!

Lots of growing! And possibly getting cuter if even possible.

Many fashion shows and pictures, much to Henry's chagrin.

And most importantly, many lazy mornings snuggling with my son. I did not put his arm around me, he did it all on his own. He loves to snuggle really close to me and it melts my heart every time. I always said my baby better be a snuggly one, and it's exactly what I got!

I also wanted to thank Alan for working all the extra hours making it possible for me to take such a long maternity leave. Also for being such a devoted father and husband. I really don't know how anyone can be a single parent, and it just so happens that I have the best partner ever. He takes a shift in the night feedings, changes just as many diapers, and takes his role as father seriously. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life. I am also greatful for what a great example he will be to Henry. I love you Alan.
