what summer means to us.

We've made the most out of this summer so far. Here's a little glimpse into how we are spending our days.

Running around in our diaper in the sprinklers.

Sitting on the blanket wearing our "cool dudes".

Rough housing with Aunt Rach, Aunt Annie, and Grammie.

Playing with the hose.

Family time.

Tickling wars.

Eating popsicles outside in our camping chairs!

Going to Hogle Zoo!

Going for lots of walks and bike rides!

Playing in dirt any chance he can get.

Going to the park.

And lazy mornings reading stories in the living room.

I wish it was summer all year long.

Camping!

I decided to take Henry down to Koosharem for a couple nights to see my dad and family. We got down there on Henry's due date day (July 2nd) so in keeping up with tradition I got him his very own cupcake to eat. He wasn't was interested in it this year, because there are a lot of things to do down in the country.

Jordyn is so cute with Henry. I walked in the bedroom to find them reading each other a bedtime story.

The next day we traveled up the mountain to go camping. It is so beautiful up there, especially with all the rain we've had.

I really wish Henry would cooperate with me when it comes to pictures.

Is this not a picture of a little boy in complete heaven?

The chef getting the dutch ovens ready! My dad makes a mean dinner up on the mountain!

I've never seen Henry eat as much as he did that night.

Yum!

My aunt was down camping with us and brought her dogs, and Henry was obsessed. Luckily the dogs were so great with him and pretty much let HJ do whatever he wanted.

One of the first things my dad said when he found out I was pregnant with Henry was that he wanted to get his grandson down on the farm and ride the 4 wheeler. Henry was really scared of the 4 wheeler at first, but as I was getting ready to leave town I looked out the window and saw them going for a little ride. The smile on my dad's face made the whole weekend worth it.

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we went over to Alan's sisters house and had a bbq and watched fireworks. I really consider myself lucky that I married into such an amazing family. My mother in law is such a great example to me and how I want to be.

Todd recently graduated from culinary school, and I can tell you right now that he makes the BEST food ever. Every time we get invited over to their house I make sure I show up hungry.

This is Gordon and he is technically Henry's 2nd cousin, but we just call them cousins cuz they are so close in age. It's fun to get the boys together and let them play.

How much is that puppy in the window? Woof woof.

Love my boy.

Alan with his nephew Brandon (Gordon's dad).

Alan's sister Andrea and her fiance Donnie.

Gordon might be one the cutest kids ever. I can't get enough of him!

Yummy grilled vegetables and chicken!

Henry really liked the fireworks, but only if his Daddy's arm was around him.

Sundays with Henny

Sundays might possibly be my favorite day of the week. Alan is at work bright and early, so that means it's just me and my little man for the day.
After I smother him with morning kisses, we go in the kitchen to make melt in your mouth pancakes. Usually Henry isn't so great at waiting and yells at me till it's done, but I'm getting faster so the wait time is going down.

Henry will eat just about anything if it has syrup on it.
Next thing that we do is laundry. Henry likes to run and jump in my pile of clothes, but I've now got him trained to put it in the washer.

I'm a big fan of cooking and baking, so I decided to try a recipe for a frozen lemon pie. YUMMY.

He's a good taste tester for me.. And here is proof for all of you that don't think I can stand to see my child get dirty. I'm still not 100% ok with it, but I'm definitely relaxing.

Next up is a little mommy and baby pedicure. Alan was NOT happy when he saw this.

After our day of fun, we put on our night nights and brush our teeth.
Then some kisses (open mouth with tongue is Henry's style) before we call it a day.
