According to my doctor, I will more than likely deliver at 37 weeks so that means I really only have 15 more weeks to go! It's almost a little frightening how quick this has snuck up on me. I like to mentally go over what all we having going on until she's here, and it's looking like a full load of vacations, birthday, anniversary, and school starting. While taking care of a newborn is a full time job, it'll be nice to not have anything else to worry about than her.

I was reminded by my older sister Chanley that I should be doing some belly shots because Baby Sis is going to want to see them some day. For some reason though, with this pregnancy, I haven't been super excited about the belly shots. So I got a little creative and decided to snap one from my point of view. Don't get me wrong, I love the belly and I love feeling how tight it gets.. I just don't love not fitting into my clothes, and I especially don't love the pregnancy boobs. That's a whole other story though.

I've had a little incident with my progesterone shots. I take them every Thursday, and when I took it last week I noticed a hard bump (about an inch long) where the injection was. It was really itchy too but I've heard that can be a side affect. Fast forward to the next Thursday, and I got a shot in the same side. I woke up Friday morning and the hard bump had returned, but had more than doubled in size and was all red and fevered. I went to my doctor and he told me it was simply a hematoma. But as the night wore on, I had a feeling it was more than that. One of the perks of working in the hospital, is you're surrounded by nurses and doctors. So I went up to Labor and Delivery on my break and showed a nurse what was going on. I instantly became the object of everyone's attention, and was taken into a room to have my vitals taken. Long story short, I have a nasty infection from the shots and have to go on 2 antibiotics to get rid of it. I'm not sure if I'll continue with the shots, but will talk to my doctor this week about it. I'm very hesitant to stop though because every little bit of intervention helps me stay pregnant, and keeps my mind at ease.

I was asked if I was going to be more relaxed once I passed the 27 week mark, and I don't know that I'll be able to. Because at that point, I'll be venturing into the unknown 3rd trimester and everything will be new for me. Having just said all that, I'm going to do everything I can to enjoy what comes along with this crazy ride called pregnancy.

I have been taking Henry to the pool since he was 1 year old, and he's never really been afraid of water. But with that being said, I still thought he should take swimming lessons so he can learn correct techniques. He did so well in his class, and has improved by leaps and bounds already. Since he had so much fun with his first round of lessons, I signed him for the next class for later this summer!
A few weekends ago, we wanted to get out of the St. George heat and do something different. Luckily for us, there is somewhere that fits that description perfectly and only takes 45 minutes to get to. Alan was shocked that we lived so close to a mountain that so closely resembles what you'd find in Salt Lake City. He felt like he was at home.

While we wanted cooler weather, we didn't really expect it to be as cool as it was. We pulled up in our summer attire to 70 degree weather and raining. As we sat and shivered our way through lunch, we were all wondering if we should have checked the weather before we left.

How modern is our family? As soon as we started on our hike, the cell phones came out and we started snapping some pictures.
