Christmas 2010

This year we stayed in Salt Lake for Christmas and had SUCH A BLAST with all of our family. We started out the festivities with Alan's family on Christmas Eve. His parents like to have everyone over for finger foods and to open the presents they got us. Henry has a second cousin, Gordon, that's pretty close to his age so it's fun watching them play.

Opening his legos to go with his lego table!

After the party with the Roberts we went back to our place and got in our jammies and hung out with my side of the family.

This was a fun year because I got to play Santa for the first time.

Alan and I said we weren't going to do much for Henry this year, but when I put all his things together I realized we failed. Oh well, it was totally worth it the next morning when he woke up and went running to all his toys with wide eyes!

We had such a great weekend, and feel very blessed that we have close family members to spend time with. Here's to the closing of an amazing year, and with high hopes for the next. Merry Christmas!

Utes Bowl Game

Alan's Christmas came a little early this year with tickets to the Utes Bowl game down in Las Vegas. I haven't been that excited to give him a gift, and can't believe I was able to keep it a secret for so long.

I can't think of anyone more deserving of this gift than him.

All decked out in his Utes gear.

The day after the game they (Alan, Jason, Roger and Mel) went golfing in St. George.

The course looks beautiful!

Merry Christmas!

Burr baby, it's COLD outside.

Seriously?..

So HJ has this boarderline OCD obsession with removing things from the cupboards and placing them somewhere else. (Refer back to my blog post about the tupperware.) Well the other night, as I'm trying to make dinner, he decided to get adventurous and actually climb up in the cupboard and remove all the pots and pans.
That face gets me every time.
He always acts like he's so busy..

Checking each piece out before he moves it somewhere else.

Then this is where it gets really funny. Not only did he move the pots to the little table at the end of the hall, but he was able to balance it such an amazing angle. How it stayed that way? I have no clue.

It makes me wonder if this is normal, of if I have a "special spirit".

Thanksgiving

Better late than never, right?
This year we went down to central Utah to hang out with my dad's side of the family. It was a lot of fun to see Henry play with a bunch of his cousins, and to see some family members that I haven't seen in quite awhile.

My handsome boys.

I was cracking up over this. Jordyn apparently has some weird thing where she has to touch Melissa's cheek to go to sleep. I guess whatever helps!

Chanley with her boyfriend Ryan.

Typical Henry J and mooching off of Aunt Rach's plate.

My dad rockin a serious heart bolo tie. (Can you tell yet where I get my humor from?)

(Don't mind how unflattering this shot is..)

So I am a pretty competitve person, and I could NOT win a game of Bingo even if my life depended on it. So I finally resorted to 2 game cards, and got my big win!

Playing with the big kids!
