My heart is full

Not a day goes by that I don't look at Henry J and realize how blessed and thankful I am. But for this week of Thanksgiving I would like to publicly express my feelings. I know that I got very lucky for my situation and not everyone gets to see their babies go home. I will never be able to express my gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the U, who took care of him when I was not able to. I will never be able to thank mine and Alan's family enough for all the support. I will never be able to fully thank Alan for the amazing gift he gave me and for spending those long hours in the hospital at my side. You truly are the most amazing person I have ever met. Last and not least, I will never be able to tell Henry J how special he is to me and his father. We truly are blessed to have one another.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I love the holidays.

Crazy to think the holidays are already here, but we are ready at the Roberts house. I even found Henry the cutest beanie of all time. He probably doesn't agree with me, but he has no say in the matter.

Alan and mini Alan.

Don't mind my insanely red lips, they are dry as the sahara desert these days.

My awesome husband putting up the Christmas lights. They are red and white.. the Utes colors are red and white. Coincidence? I think not.

After attempting another try with the rice cereal, I needed to wash Henry off. I put him in the sink and it's just another reminder of how big he is.

Love you Henry J.

Time is flying.

This week we had Henry's NICU follow up appointment. All the doctors say that he is right on track and seems like a healthy, happy baby. He weighed in at 14 lbs and 8 oz and 25 inches long. They all commented on the size of his head though, and some expressed a little concern.. that is until they measured my head and realized it's all genetics. That's ok that we have big heads, need room for all the brains! :o)

The doctors were also impressed with Henry's sleeping schedule. Yes, my child is an awesome sleeper and for that we LOVE him. He will go to bed around 7 at night, and won't wake up till 7 or 8 the next morning. So if you do the math, that is 12-13 hours. Then to top it off he takes at least one long nap during the day. When he does wake up in the morning this is the sweet face that we get greeted with.

Henry J and mommy being bored with a camera.

We got Henry this play mat and he LOVES it. He will grab hold of the toys and just shake it like crazy.

Sitting up like a big boy in his Bumbo.

We have started cereal and it's.. not going so well. He's not a big fan, but it makes for really funny pictures.

Love this sound.

Last night Henry, Rachel and I were hangin out in the living room and Rachel did something funny to get Henry to laugh. He got laughing so hard and I had to get it on video. Sorry it's so dark.. we were recording with her cell phone.

Christmas came early!

For anyone that knows Alan, you have heard about the big TV he has been dreaming of for over a year. At the end of October, Best Buy had a deal that we couldn't pass up. I finally let him go buy his dream TV and all the goodies that come with it. When I got home from work one day this is how he had organized all this stuff. He is so funny like that, so I made him sit down for a picture. I will print this picture out and wrap it up for Christmas, Fathers Day, and his birthday.

There she is in all her glory. Unfortunately for me, he is already talking about the bigger tv he wants for his man cave downstairs. Heaven help me.

3 Month Pictures

So it's not that I'm lazy, it's just that there has been serious confusion with the photographer who did Henry's "newborn" pictures. Either way, here they are. Crazy how much he has changed in 3 months.

6 Months Photos

We had Henry's 6 month photos done a little while ago, so I thought I would share them. The photographer, Heidi, did such a great job and she was great with Henry. If you want some fun pictures done, and at a good price contact her.
I think Henry looks JUST like Alan in this one.

You can see his two bottom teeth in this one.
This one might be my favorite. Such a big smile.

I bought him a Christmas hat and boots for our Christmas cards this year. Leave your address so I can get one in the mail!
Just an update on my big boy; when we went in for his 6 month check up (about a month ago) he weighed13.8 pounds and I can't remember how long he was. He was in the 55th percentile for his weight and height (for his corrected age, 3 months). He is teething like a mad man, and I can see the 3rd one getting ready to come out. All of them are on the bottom (is that normal?). He has been so much fun lately and being a mom is the best thing in the world.

Halloween

We were down in St. George this year for Halloween, and had a lot of fun. We dressed Henry up and probably took 100 pictures. I couldn't stop laughing at my little man with the green nose.

Before we left SLC I was in the bathroom getting ready and Alan said to me, "Ok, we're done packing."

When he opened it up Henry was inside the suitcase. Please don't call CPS on us.

This was at Uncle Dylan's football game. It was chilly so we bundled Henry up! Go Dill!

My mom, Alan, and Annie.

Also every year we do an early Thanksgiving. Dylan and Alan really like eachother.

I was visiting with family, and noticed I hadn't seen Alan or Henry for a little while. When I found them, this is what I saw. Alan loves his little boy so much.

It's funny how many babies are in the family now. That is my cousin Esther and her sweet baby girl Mekyla, then Annie is holding Emmitt (my cousin Courtney's baby) then of course me with Henry. It's hard to believe that Henry is no longer the "baby", but yet the biggest baby in the family.
