It has been a very long and tiring 5 days, but our little boy Henry J joined our family April 7th, 2009 at 3:11 in the morning. He weighs 2 pounds 6 ounces and is 15 inches long. We never found an explanation as to why he delivered 3 months early, but he is doing better then we all thought he would. The doctors and nurses at the University of Utah hospital have been amazing and we are making life long friends here. Thank you all for your support, visits, prayers and phone calls. Alan and I are truly blessed and can't wait to bring our baby boy home.

Henry is hooked up to a C-PAP, which forces air into his lungs and keeps them inflated. He is breathing the same air that we are and all the nurses and doctors keep boasting about our little boy. They said there is a good chance he will be breathing on his own tomorrow.

The staff in the NICU (newborn intensive care unit) took some amazing pictures for us and put them all on a disc.
Henry has some long fingers and toes and is known as the "tall skinny kid" in the nursery. His Dad is convinced he'll be a basketball player.

ohhh he's so cute. He's tiny!! It's crazy when you compare him to the hand...I'm sooo soo soo soo glad he's doing well. That's so awesome! There's a long road ahead but it looks like he already has a head start. Congrats and I love you two...well now three!
What a little scrap of humanity. He looks like a fighter with that square jaw. We will all look back a year from now and find it hard to beleive that he started out so small. Congratulations XXXXXXXOOOOOOOO to you all. The Castle Crew
It was good to see you guys tonight, you make good lookin parents!
Cant wait to meet our "God Son!" Love all three of you!

chelsey - he is just precious! I can't believe how tiny his little body is! you guys are going to be the best parents. this little guy has no clue how lucky he is to have you guys! I know i have said it before, but I wish I could be there and I will come up to see you guys as soon as you are ready! You're like family to me, and I dont know what I would have done without you all these years! much love to my favorite little family!
Well I must say I am a very proud aunt. He is perfect! I have to agree with Alan, 15 in. born 3 months early, he definitely is the skinny tall kid. :) I tell you what, us Roberts (and you had a part too Chels) make gorgeous kids! Of Course I am not prejudice at all though! You know part of the reason I quit smoking is because somebody told me that I couldn't hold their baby if I still smoked! Now bring it on baby, I am done smoking! I love you guys!
Hi new Mommy! I'm glad he is doing so well! I hope you are too. I can't wait to see him! He is so tiny and so adorable!
k so I was totally looking at pictures today and he has the Bagley nose for sure! He's just so cute. Julie said to make sure you read to him while he's hanging out in that incubator cuz it helps develop his speech when he is older. I guess Julie read to Bronson every day and the doctors that check him now think the reason he talks to well is because of the reading Julie did to him while he was in the NICU...so keep that in mind.
At least he's here safe! I hope he continues to do well and you can take him home soon. Congratulations on your new LITTLE baby!
You are all in my thoughts. Glad to hear Henry is doing so well. Take Care and God Bless.
congrats...chelsey, even though i know you wish is wasnt yet but, he looks so good just from the few pictures you posted. You guys are so strong and thats what will puch him too! he is adorable, i will keep all of you in my prayers!
