The week before Henry's birthday, we finally scheduled him an appointment with the dentist. I think we were really dreading it because in all honesty.. the way he freaks out when he gets his hair cut led me to believe he would have a full blown anxiety attack with someone in his mouth. We found a children's dentist, and they know what they are doing. They have the lobby colored brightly and with a TON of toys.

Once we got back to see the dentist, they actually had me put Henry on my lap, then lay him down into the dentist's lap. While Henry was less than enthused about someone poking around in there, he did better than I thought.

It looks like blood, but it's just the toothpaste.
Although I think I did see Henry bite the dentist once. I told the dentist that he has by far, the worst job ever.

It was too funny.. as soon as the dentist was done, Henry bolted for the door. He wasn't about to see if there wasn't another part to this visit.

Henry got to pick his very own book and balloon for his prize.

A week before my Mom's birthday all of us were in town to go see the Pink Floyd Experience, so my sisters and I decided to plan a little surprise party. It was a lot of fun because she really had no idea what was going on.

We also surprised her with this necklace that she had been eyeballing for some time now.

When we were up in SLC, Henry found this car at Chanley's house and loved it. Chanley and Ryan were nice enough to strap it to their car and haul it down for him!

My mom was lovin' on my cousin's baby Preslie, and Henry wasn't so sure he wanted to share his Grandma.

Everyone with their sassy pose.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Jason and Abby's Wedding

For some stupid reason, I didn't get a single shot of the bride and groom, or their reception. I'm so mad at myself, but hopefully they will share some of pictures they got done professionally because it was such a beautiful day. The weekend got started with a nice dinner at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.

Then that night we took the bachelor bowling. It's what Alan did the night before we got married, so we thought we'd keep the tradition alive.

Can you tell what Jason's name is?

On the day of the wedding we all got dressed up and headed to the Temple.

We can't go anywhere without his blankie.

For my spring break we decided to head up to SLC for the weekend. It ended up being a busy week because we had Jason's wedding, and I threw a shower for Lana. There will be pictures to come of both events!

We wanted to start the week off by taking HJ to the zoo. Last time we took him it ended up with Alan carrying a cranky boy the entire day, so I was a little hesitant about taking him. Turns out my little dude LOVES animals and we had a fantastic day.

This picture might not mean a lot to most, but to me it means that my baby is growing up. Henry is usually TERRIFIED of anything that he doesn't recognize. So for him to sit on these little statues was a huge milestone for him.

Same goes for this picture. He went right up to that elephant and climbed on without any guidance from Alan or me.

One of the highlights was when HJ saw the tiger. He was running around not paying attention, and as soon as he realized what was right in front of the glass window, he turned and looked at his Aunt Chanley with huge eyes. He has mentioned the tiger several times since then.

Another first for HJ that day was wanting to ride the carousel. A couple summers ago we went to Palm Springs and tried to take him on one, and he about clawed my eyeballs out when I put him on it. But this time was completely different.. well almost. Alan took him up there and HJ was adamant about riding the "ellie" (elephant) but as soon as Alan put him up there, he got really nervous and wanted off right away.

So they settled on the non moving peacock bench. :o)

So glad we got this picture on camera. Those two are best buddies!

Just Because

Little man is almost 3 years old! In all honesty, this stage hasn't been my very favorite but after talking to other moms and reading articles, I realize it's just him trying to express himself. It doesn't help that he's still not speaking as well as he should.

We've started to slowly introduce potty training to him. He's not acting very interested in it, and I really don't want to push it with him. Henry is very dependent and only wants to do things if it's his idea. Although I did manage to talk him into putting on his big boy undies and modeling them. Seriously so cute.

This St. George weather has been amazing, and allows for lots of trips to the park. My guess is he's going to be a rock climber one day.

Chocolate milk is a staple in this house. Except one day he decided he wanted a weight loss shake, so Alan gave it to him and sent this picture to me. I about died laughing.

His favorite outfit. The moose hoodie, pajamas and his cars slippers.

I know it's hard to believe, but I seriously didn't put that bow on his head. Not to mention if anyone tried to take it off him, he lost it.

This is the only way I can get shopping done. A bag of popcorn, and a drink. It also helps if I let him play games on my phone.

I LOVE his kissable lips.
