Happy Due Date to you!

Ever since Henry was born, I knew that I wanted to celebrate his original due date. Alan thought I was crazy, but I'm pretty sure everyone has figured that out already. We went to the store and got him a cupcake with the most frosting you've ever seen. He was way more into it this time then on his actual birthday. We all got quite the kick out of it, and it took a solid 2 1/2 hours for him to come off that sugar high.

Before: So sweet and innocent, not to mention CLEAN.

True to Henry form, he has to examine everything about the cupcake.

Taking small dainty bites to get a good understanding of what he's facing.

"Yep, I think I like this stuff"

Everytime he would look at me, it was always with a look of question. "Not quite sure that I should be doing this, but no one is stopping me."

"I better hurry up and pound this thing before they take it away."

After: Eating the excess cake off the fork. No shame in this kid's game.

What an amazing little miracle you are, my Henry J.

Summer!

Here in the Roberts' household, we LOVE summer, especially this year. Last year we were beyond occupied with daily trips to the hospital, renovating our house, and then finally bringing Baby J home. So we are taking every advantage of having a great summer and doing all the things that we wanted to last year, but couldn't.
Swimming for the very first time!

Eating our fingers.

Eating blue sno-cones!

Enjoying the BRIGHT sun!

Play dates with hot babes!

Trips to the zoo and measuring ourselves next to the gorillas!

Being so big next to the water fountain!

Relaxing in the stroller while slave/mom pushes me around.

Who am I?

Being the voice of this blog, and the one typically behind the camera, I thought that for memories sake I should highlight number 1. Me. Although contrary to my blog you might think that it's Henry or Alan, or quite possibly my beloved giant cupcake mold. But there are a lot of things going on up stairs in this head of mine and I need to spill it on paper so one day when Henry is a father he can look back at this and know that his mother wasn't as crazy as he remembers. I could quite possibly be even more crazy.

- If one foot or hand gets wet, I have to wet the other.
-I can not eat skittles of different color together.
-I have to eat skittles in 2's, that goes for french fries as well.
- I might come off as shy when you first meet me, but I can promise it'll all be over soon.
-I am a total freak about my bank account, and do things that even I can't explain.
-I never thought that I could be crafty, until I met my good friend Lana. Now I think I'm pretty good.
- I knew the entire time I was in the hospital that I would deliver Henry early despite all the medical intervention. Call it mothers intuition, but I knew.
-I thoroughly enjoy cooking and can whip up a mean lasagna.
-I am very free spirited and choose to follow my own path.
-I have made bad decisions, but know that it's molded me into who I am today.
- I hate walking on the beach and getting sand on my feet.
-I hate dirty feet and hands.
-I can't stand my childs face to be dirty. Even when he was in an isolette in the hopsital I cleaned his face every day.
-I love to find and pick black heads on Alan's back.
-I have OCD when it comes to picking my split ends. Worst. Habit. Ever.
-I could eat a twisty cone every day.
-The trashier the reality show, the more I like it.
-I love making lists and color coding them where applicable.
-I can't stand not knowing the plan for an event.
-I call my mom at least once a day.
-Although I did not grow up in the same house as my father, I tend to say and do things that are just like him. It tends to freak people out.
-Music is my life.
-I tend to be very forward and don't beat around the bush. Want the honest opinion? Then ask me.

-One of the worst feelings to me is velvet or flour on my hands or on the countertop. It literally sends chills down my spine.

I am me, and every day I am becoming more comfortable with it.
